Butter Chicken
Description
Butter chicken, traditionally known as murgh makhani, is an Indian dish originating in Delhi. It is a type of curry made from chicken with a spiced tomato and butter sauce. Its sauce is known for its rich texture. It is similar to chicken tikka masala, which uses a tomato paste.

In a deep bottom non stick dish, fry the onions in butter. Once the onions turn translucent and slightly golden, add the tomato paste/tomato puree.

Once well combined, add the "Butter chicken mix". Add 2 tbsp of water to avoid the mixture from burning.

Now add the marinated chicken and mix well.

Simmer it with lid on and let the chicken cook in low flame for 5 -10 mins. Stir intermittently to avoid the mixture from sticking at the bottom of the pan.

Once the chicken is well cooked, add the fresh cream and sugar (optional)

Slightly stir the butter chicken until the right consistency.

Now serve it hot with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
